20L Easy Hāngī Cooking Baskets (use with your own pot)

These 20L Easy Hāngī cooking baskets are ideal if you already own a suitable 20-litre pot and want to cook using the Easy Hāngī method — without purchasing the full cooking kit.

These baskets are great for smaller whānau meals, holidays away, and shared dinners, and comfortably feed around 12 people in approximately 60 minutes.

This set includes:

• 2 x 20-litre stainless-steel cooking baskets
• FREE grip hooks for lifting and handling

Instructions are included so you can start cooking straight away.

Pot suitability — Important

These baskets are designed to be used in a solid, heavy-based 20-litre pot that can safely withstand high direct heat.

Your pot must be suitable for the Easy Hāngī cooking process, which involves:

• heating the pot on the stove for approximately 15 minutes with no water
• then adding 1.5 litres of hot tap water
• and continuing to cook for around 45 minutes

Lightweight or thin-based pots are not suitable for this style of cooking.
